Xiaomi Redmi Launched Redmi K30, Redmibook 13” today in China: Price, Specifications

Redmi sub-brand of Xiaomi entered into the flagship category with Redmi K20 and K20 pro which was launched in May 2019 in china. Both the smartphone was a huge success in the China market and in the Indian market as well because of their price to performance ratio. Both the Redmi K20 and K20 pro had an identical design that the main difference was their SOC. Redmi K20 pro was the real flagship killer with Snapdragon 855 and Redmi K20 with Snapdragon 730 which was a balanced phone at its price point.

After many teasers, leaks from last few days finally Redmi launched their cheapest 5G smartphone and 13” variant of their Redmibook with latest generation processors along with some other products in China.

Redmi K30 5G

Redmi K30 5G has launched today in China. Redmi K30 becomes a world’s first phone to feature Qualcomm’s latest chipset Snapdragon 765G with an integrated 5G modem and cheapest 5G phone in the world. Redmi K30 pro will compete with Realme X2 which comes in its price category. Redmi K30 5G also becomes the world’s first smartphone which has Sony’s latest true 64-megapixel IMX686 sensor as its primary camera. Other main highlights of this phone as it comes with a 120hz refresh rate LCD panel, dual punch hole camera, and 4500mah battery, type C with 30 Watt fast charging support. Redmi K30 5G runs with the latest Android 10 on top of MIUI 11. The resolution of the display is 1080 x 2400 which is tall and 20:9 aspect ratio. This is the first phone form Redmi which has a 120hz refresh rate display.

Redmi K30 4G

Redmi K30 4G also packs the most of the same configuration as Redmi K30 5G but the difference is in SoC and camera. 4G edition of Redmi K30 comes with Qualcomm Snapdragon 730G which was released a few months back. Redmi K30 4G edition comes with a 2MP macro lens while the 5G variant comes in a 5MP macro lens that’s the main difference in the camera department. And the last difference in the Charger of the Smartphone. 4G variant comes with a 27watt charger while the 5G variant comes With a 30-watt Fast charger in the box.

The Redmi K30 4G will be available in four different colors Blue, Red, and Purple. And the 5G variant gets an additional White color variant. Redmi K30 will go on sale in China very soon. We can expect the K30 4G variant in India very soon but don’t forget the price will not be the same as that in China.

Redmibook 13 with 10th Generation Processor

Along with Redmi K30 Redmi launched its brand new Redmibook 13 at today’s event in China. This is a fresh lineup of Redmibook powered by Intel’s latest 10th generation core i5 or i7 processor paired with a battery that lasts up to 11 hours on a single charge. Xiaomi claims that the Redmibook 13 can be charge 50 percent within 30 minutes as it supports 1C fast charging. The Redmibook comes with a 13.3 inches full HD display that offers 89% screen to body ratio because of narrow bezels. The Redmibook 13 comes with a compact form factor, advanced cooling technology, and Windows 10 Home edition to interact with users.

Talking about the specifications, the RedmiBook 13 comes with a 13.3-inch Full HD display with slim bezels and 10th-gen Intel Core i5/ i7 processor ticking at its Heart. The chipset is paired with the NVIDIA MX250 graphics processor, 8GB of RAM, and 512GB SSD storage onboard. The laptop runs on Windows 10 Home OS, with Microsoft Office Student Edition, out of the box.

Xiaomi has added a new Hurricane cooling system, that includes a wing fan and a built-in 6mm diameter double heat pipe that increases the maximum heat transfer by 70 percent, to keep the RedmiBook 13 cool under every circumstance.

RedmiBook 13 priced in China is RMB 4,199 (~Rs 42,000) for the base variant, while the Core i5 processor and NVIDIA MX250 GPU variant costs RMB 4,499 (~Rs 45,000). The laptop’s top-end Intel Core i7 model has been priced at RMB 5,199 (~Rs 52,000). The RedmiBook 13 will be on sale in China from December 12th, but you can pre-order it starting today.
